Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What are good targets? (click for answers)

Fire hydrants, light poles, trash cans, fence posts and other landmarks make good targets. The deluxe Play Street Golf hole is the ultimate best target for in-the-street or on sidewalks, especially with putting.

How long will the covers last?

The covers typically last for well over 200 strokes on pavement.

What about avoiding cars and pedestrians?

Play in low traffic areas and always have a spotter watch for cars and pedestrians. Never hit a ball with a car or pedestrian approaching.

Will the balls damage parked cars or other objects?

We have not seen any damage to parked cars (see video) from the soft balls but we recommend applying the distance penalty and moving the ball laterally and back away from parked cars to eliminate close shots.

What is recommended for out of bounds or unplayable balls?

For avoiding an obstacle or reentering bounds, we recommend a distance penalty where the ball is moved away from the hole the same distance as it is moved laterally.

What irons are recommended?

For open streets without overhanging trees, 8 or 9 irons work best. For streets with overhanging trees, 5 through 7 irons work best, depending upon tree branch heights. Loft height of street golf balls is somewhat lower than standard golf balls because of the added rolling friction.
